Spending on advertising on Amazon US will break the $11 billion barrier this year. In the coming years, investments are expected to increase even more significantly.
According to a study by Feedvisor, 66% in the USA start looking for a new product on Amazon. Search engines and manufacturer websites follow far behind with 20% and 4% respectively. Another confirmation that Google has lost its place in the sun in terms of product search to Amazon. This trend is also reflected in advertising spending.
The market research institute eMarketers forecasts advertising expenditures of 11.33 billion dollars for Amazon in 2019. And that only in the USA. For 2020, the institute expects almost 15 billion and 2021 even 19.22 billion.
